Slow, rainy, candlelit corners of my imaginary world.
Hour-long ambient videos, seasonal rituals, and dark-cottagecore comfort. Perfect for reading, studying, and unwinding. Come on in, the kettle's ready.
Pull up a seat. The kettle's on, and I've got plenty of sweets to share.
Welcome to The Overgrown Hour. It's a little corner of the internet that celebrates the feeling, and quiet appreciation, of all things cozy horror. My vibe is cottagecore with a witchy edge, a good dose of whimsy, and maybe just a little goblincore around the edges. If you're an INFJ, an introvert, or someone who's never quite fit in anywhere; I'm the same so hello, and welcome.
I'm Tara, and this is my project. My husband and I run a web design and SEO company, so I've spent years helping write blog posts and websites about a little bit of everything. But I wanted something that was all mine. I wanted something personal, unhurried, a little bit fun, and free to wander wherever my curiosity goes.
I've just started a YouTube channel, also called The Overgrown Hour, filled with atmospheric videos you can put on while you work, drift off to sleep, or simply bop around the house. It's the same cozy comfort you know, just with a little different spin on it.
There's an Etsy shop too, Paws & Portents. It's empty for now, but not for long. I'll be making custom pet portraits. The kind that actually captures your animal's personality, because every dog, cat, snake, and hamster is a little character all their own. No two are ever the same.
And this website? It'll be a mix of all my favorite things: blog posts, horror book reviews, horror game reviews, and the products and services that fit someone like me. Because I know I'm not the only one who somehow feels safer wrapped up in cozy horror than anywhere else.
Stay a while. I'm so glad you're here.
